Novelties and Current Events from the GroupMercury PSI wins a Golden prize and a spot in the finals for multiple awards
Earlier
this month we were very happy and proud to have won a Golden prize and secured
a spot in the finals for out two big campaigns.
The Golden
prize was won for our 10th anniversary campaign dubbed #TO THE POWER OF 10.
It was done in collaboration with our partner agency from London Start.
With their
help, we won the first place in the “Best Internal Communication during a Brand
Development Project” category at the 2020
Transform Europe Awards. We are proud, excited and overwhelmed to be
recognized among all the candidates as the best ones in this particular
category by the renowned Transform Awards.
What made
this campaign special was the unique approach we created with Start towards our
employees who will always remain at the heart of everything we do.

With the same campaign, we secured spot in the finale in four categories of South East Europe CX Awards 2020.

These categories are Employees at the Heart of Everything, Financial Services, Team of the Year, and a special category for CX Professional of the Year, for which we nominated our Marketing Expert Nikolina Horvat Subašić. She was in charge of implementation of the campaign through our company and was key for the engagement it reached with out employees.
Awards finals will be held
online due to the Covid-19 situation on May 29th.
The second campaign was called „It's not Sci Fi, it's everyday at Mercury Processing“.
This is employer branding campaign done with the aim to attract the very-sought-for IT talent and differentiate us from other employers in Croatia. It was done in collaboration with our partner Agency Švicarska. And judging by the results of the campaign and the fact that we made it to the finale of HUOJ Grand PRix award in the category of Public relations for large companies, it seems we did more than good!
The winners are still not yet announced due to the current situation.
GIRO goes speedy with instant payments in Hungary powered by Nets
.With Instant payments now concurrent with the PSD2 implementation, they
are at the heart of the new transforming payments landscape. Experts predict
that within a few years all payments will be either instant or initiated in
larger volumes and processed instantly.
This month, GIRO, the Hungarian Automated Clearing House, launched its instant payment platform with Nets providing the technology - the RealTime24/7 platform.
The new instant payment system will help the whole Hungary and its
financial markets in the times where large number of transactions are expected
to finalize in seconds. Now, this is actually possible.
Earlier this year, the Slovenian Automated Clearing
House also implemented the Nets instant payments technology.
Nets wins new deals
With the
path set to becoming the pan-European preferred payment partner, Nets wins an important deal with Ikano Bank.
Results and solutions provided by Nets had a very positive reception at Ikano Bank. Christian Magnum (dodati tko je on) said "Nets is excellent at providing follow-up, responding rapidly to requests, communicating with customers and frequently providing status reports.“
He also added that „Nets
has the capacity to immediately identify opportunities. In my opinion, being a
pilot customer for Nets is extremely positive for Ikano Bank, not to mention a
source of inspiration“.
In addition to this deal, earlier this year JCB, a major global payment brand and a leading credit card issuer and acquirer in Japan, expanded its merchant network with Nets Group in Finland. This means that over 18,000 businesses across Finland will be to accept JCB payments through the Nets Merchant Services platform.
Nets acquisitions and partnerships
Strengthening presence all over Europe, Nets acquires Polish payment provider Polskie ePłatności (PeP).
This will improve Nets’s offering to merchants in Poland as PeP focuses on SME merchants with a very strong presence in card acceptance and point-of-sale terminals space. It will also allow Nets to possibly gain a bigger market share because of Poland’s low card penetration on one side and a steep upward curve in card usage.
Earlier
this year, Nets has completed its acquisition of Finnish software developer Poplatek and
its spin-off firm Poplapay.
Poplatek specializes in software development, cloud services and payment solutions, while Poplapay is a payment terminal service provider. The two companies and their expertise will be a perfect addition to the service and products offered by Nets' Merchant Services which have expanded beyond Nordics to Central Europe with the Concardis Payment Group.
This will
also bring the adaptability and flexibility in providing the best
and smoothest payment experience at the terminal for the evolving needs of
customers. It also puts Nets Group one step closer to becoming the pan-European
preferred payment provider.
Another
partnership came this year as Nets entered a partnership with Bankify, enabling
their customers to consume Bankify’s services through Nets’ Open Banking platform. Under the terms of the
partnership, Nets customers will also have easy access to Bankify’s portfolio
via the platform.
Bankify’s services focus on enriching the existing financial application with more personalised and engaging features to Millennial and Gen-Z users, globally.
For
these digital natives, Bankify developed the services using gamification,
education, personalization and social interaction.
With the two companies integrated via the Open Banking platform, Bankify’s microservice offering becomes easier to implement, faster and more cost-efficient. And for Nets, according to it’s press release, Georg Olav Ramstad, Head of Open Banking sales and Business Development at Nets said he believes their combined offerings “will accelerate the digital transformation of financial institutions.”
